Valley CEO Audrey Meyers (right) Receives Healthgrades Award
The physicians in the Columbia Neurosurgery Network:New Jersey have long been proud of their affiliation with The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey (see our Related Posts below).
That is why these days our Ridgewood office is abuzz with their great news: Valley has won THREE national awards, two for patient experience and another for place to work.
“We are proud to have our patients cared for at The Valley Hospital,” says neurosurgeon Dr. William Cobb. “Our patients receive high quality care there, which allows them to achieve the best possible outcomes. Congratulations to The Valley Hospital!”
Valley’s CEO and President, Audrey Meyers sent out a bulletin this month to all her staff, affiliates (that’s us), and supporters announcing these great awards.
“I am delighted to share the news that Valley has received three prestigious national recognitions for being among America’s best healthcare organizations to receive patient care and to work,” said Meyers in the bulletin. “These recognitions are testament to the exceptional commitment to quality improvement that Valley physicians and staff make every day to our patients and their families.”
Below is a list of the 2014 Valley Health System Awards
- 2014 Outstanding Patient Experience Award
- Patient Safety Grade “A”
- One of 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare
The Outstanding Patient Experience Award is given by Healthgrades. This is the fifth year in a row that Valley has earned this honor and Valley was the only New Jersey Hospital to receive this award in 2014.
The Patient Safety Grade “A” was given by the Leapfrog Group, also for the fifth year running. Valley is one of just 250 hospitals in the United States to receive the highest grade of “A”.
The 150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare distinction is a list established by Becker’s Healthcare and includes places like the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and the Mayo Clinic.
